Music

Here at St. Alban’s, we believe that the desire of our Lord is that our musical worship is to come from the heart.

The music ministry at St. Alban’s is a way to sing praises and enjoy the time one may share during the worship service or during our choir rehearsals. We offer anyone who wants to praise the Lord the opportunity to sing. Whether you have sung before in a choir or maybe you never had the desire because you were told you could not sing, please know that at St. Alban’s everyone may sing and you are welcome. Other opportunities available are singing a solo or duet and psalm cantors.

Our choirs meet on Wednesday evenings in the sanctuary for rehearsals. There is a children’s choir and two adult choirs. Our children’s choir - The Kids of the Kingdom - meet at 6:00 pm – 6:20 pm. Here, children learn about how music enhances the worship service and how to use their voices in praise to their Lord.

Our adult choir - Voices of Faith - is open to everyone who wishes to have a great time with others in a joyous musical setting of fellowship and community. You do not know how to read music as you will learn something new about music each time. Voices of Faith meets from 6:30 pm to 7:15 pm.

St. Alban’s other adult choir - Standing in the Light - is a more specialized choir, where one needs to be able to read music and sing without accompaniment. Standing in the Light meets from 7:30 pm – 8:15 pm.

In each choir, we share the excitement of singing, the laughter of stories and experiences in our musical journey. So whether you sing or play an instrument please do come, join and be engaged in a wonderful opportunity for musical fellowship at St. Alban’s. Come Join in the Journey.
